This Privacy Policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and the choices available to you.Information We Collect
Fish Hook collects only the information needed to provide its core features:Email address — obtained through Sign in with Apple, used solely to identify and authenticate your account. Apple may provide a private relay email address instead of your real one, depending on your own Apple ID settings; either way, Fish Hook only ever receives whichever address Apple provides.
Precise location — GPS coordinates recorded at the moment you save a catch, so the catch's location can be displayed back to you. Location is only captured when you actively save a catch; Fish Hook does not track your location in the background or at any other time.
Photos — photos you take within the app of your catches. These are stored securely and are only ever accessible to your own account.
Other catch details you enter — such as species, bait or lure used, and a location name you provide or that is derived from your device's location.
A unique account identifier — an internal identifier tied to your account, used to associate your catches with you and to prevent other users from accessing your data.
How We Use Your Information
All information collected is used solely to operate Fish Hook's core functionality: authenticating your account, saving and displaying your catches, and letting you view your own Catch Library. We do not use your information for advertising, marketing, analytics, or any purpose unrelated to the app's core functionality.Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored using Supabase, a third-party backend infrastructure provider. Photos are stored in a private storage bucket that only your authenticated account can access. Catch records are protected by database-level security policies (Row Level Security) that restrict access to your own data only. Fish Hook does not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing or advertising purposes.Sharing
If you choose to use Fish Hook's built-in sharing feature, the app will hand a copy of your photo directly to the sharing destination you select (for example, Messages or another app of your choice) via Apple's native share sheet. This is an action you initiate yourself; Fish Hook does not automatically share your content with anyone.Analytics, Advertising, and Tracking
Fish Hook does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting software development kits (SDKs). We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites, and we do not use your data for any form of cross-app or cross-site advertising tracking.Data Deletion
You may delete an individual catch, including its photo and associated details, at any time directly within the app. Deleting a catch permanently removes both the photo file and its record from our systems.Children's Privacy
Fish Hook is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.Changes to This Policy

Terms of Service

By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.The Subscription
Fish Hook is offered as an auto-renewable subscription:Subscription: Fish Hook Premium
Length: 1 year
Price: The price shown at the time of purchase, charged annually.
Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. Your subscription automatically renews for the same length and price unless you turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the end of the current subscription period. Your Apple Account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your device's Settings app, under your Apple Account's Subscriptions.All payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. Refunds are handled solely by Apple in accordance with Apple's own refund policies; we do not have the ability to issue refunds directly.Subscription Cancellation and Data
Cancelling your subscription ends your access to Fish Hook Premium at the end of the current billing period. Unless otherwise stated, your catch data remains associated with your account. We may retain your data for a reasonable period in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable law. If you choose to permanently delete your account in the future, any associated personal data will be handled as described in our Privacy Policy.Free Trial
Fish Hook does not currently offer a free trial. A subscription is required to use the App.Your Account and Content
Fish Hook uses Sign in with Apple to create and secure your account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of the Apple Account used to sign in.You retain ownership of the photos, catch details, and other content you create within the App ("Your Content"). By using the App, you grant us a limited license to store and process Your Content solely for the purpose of providing the App's features to you, as described in our Privacy Policy.You agree not to use the App to upload, store, or share content that is unlawful, infringes on the rights of others, or violates any applicable law.Availability and Changes to the App
We may update, modify, or discontinue features of the App at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of significant changes that affect your subscription.Termination
You may stop using the App and cancel your subscription at any time through your device's Settings app. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the App for any user who violates these Terms.Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will never be lost, though we take reasonable measures to protect Your Content as described in our Privacy Policy.Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.Changes to These Terms
